Namine
Namine Olivia Eiche was born on July 15, 2008 with a double-inlet left ventricle heart defect; Pierre Robin sequence, a condition that resulted in a regressed jaw and a partial (U-shaped) cleft palate; caudal regression syndrome (also known as sacral agenesis), which damages the growth of the tailbone and legs, also giving her clubfoot; and scoliosis.

Bedtime and Sara
Namine won a goldfish over the weekend. She named her Sara.

New cardiologist
We met this morning with Namine’s new heart doctor.

Hand crank class
We went to what was supposed to be a bicycle class for Namine. It turned out to be a great disappointment, nothing more.

Cooked marshmallows
The weather was finally nice enough to cook outside, so we got together with my parents and sister for some grilling.

Today, mom, Jessica, Namine, and I went to the Jelly Belly carnival.

Namine has been dry for five nights in a row. Last night was the first in several days that she’d had an accident.

While we were in Indiana for Jessica’s cousin’s wedding, we got a chance to go swimming in our hotel’s pool.

Jessica’s second cousin got married yesterday. Namine danced her heart out.

Namine had an appointment for the dentist the other day. They discovered a cavity.
