Today, mom, Jessica, Namine, and I went to the Jelly Belly carnival.
On the way down, we were playing a game called “Spot It!” There are cards with objects that can be seen on a car trip and you try and find all the things on your card.
At one point, Namine says, “I still need a restaraunt. A restaraunt called ‘motel’ (said: moh-duhl).” To which mom responded, “Oh, you mean a MOTEL.” Pretty good phonics skills if you ask me!
We made it to the carnival after the rain, which was nice, and it was still fairly cool so we weren’t sweating (although, I could have done with the weather being about 20 degrees warmer).
Namine and I went on a few rides, now that she can go on any that she meets the height requirements for, despite her heart. We went on a train, some spinning dogs, and bumble bees that went up in the air. Namine had so much fun.
She also played TONS of games. She won so many stuffed animals and toys: two dragons, an alligator, and a bubble gun. But her biggest prize was a real, live goldfish. Her name is Sarah.
I got to go on a couple grown up rides too: the Tilt-a-whirl with mom and a hang glider ride, kind of like Superman swings.
After that, we took the Jelly Belly tour (we got cool hats!) and bought some jelly beans and fudge. All in all, a really good day.
