Namine finally has her custom-built sport wheelchair!
We made paper ghosts!
There was a walk/run/roll at Zachariah’s Acres on Saturday. We didn’t participate, but we did help out the other volunteers.
If you didn’t already know (I didn’t), “Voldemorting” is where you don’t use a thing’s name when talking about that thing. (There are slight Harry Potter spoilers ahead, so consider yourself warned.)
Namine had a wonderful time at the kickoff event for Tour de Force, the accessible and inclusive program jointly run by the Milwaukee Ballet and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
Namine is getting faster and stronger in her sport wheelchair.
Namine thought her wrist was broken. Fortunately, this was not the case.
We had a great time at the Brewers game. Don’t ask me who the opposing team was, though.
Namine and I are reading a book in school called “Homesick: My Own Story.” It’s about a girl named Jean who lives with her parents in China. Jean had a baby brother, who was born six weeks early and passed away a few days after he was born.
We had a little bit of a freak-out when Namine complained of chest pain, but it seems to be nothing more than a pulled muscle.
Namine got her hair cut. She also got a purple streak!
