A second opinion
A couple weeks ago, Namine had an appointment at the cleft palate clinic. But this was no mere checkup. Six months ago, several doctors, pathologists, and other specialists evaluated Namine for mandibular and tongue surgery. They declared that she should be re-evaluated six months later; this was that re-evaluation.

Ortho appointments aren’t nearly the horror story they used to be, thanks to our switch to Dr. Black from he-who-must-not-be-named. (I’m not kidding. Scary sats and an x-ray
When Namine drops her sats, our immediate thought is that she’s getting sick. Well, she’s already sick, so it would be no surprise that her sats are down a little. But Namine was down to 81 this morning, and that’s frightening. To make matters worse, Namine woke up with the croup again.

Ultrasound
Namine had an appointment on Monday to have an ultrasound taken of her legs. After all is said and done, it went well – but we won’t know the results until a doctor tells us. But Namine was very still, and let the tech do her job.

Appointments lately
Namine had an appointment at the ENT clinic the other day. The news was not surprising, and not very alarming, either. Namine still has an ear infection in her left ear, but thankfully it is only still in her left ear. We’ve already got ear drops, though, so we’ll be giving those to her until…

At about 3:30 this afternoon, Namine was discharged from the ER. Thankfully, she does not have any broken bones. But in my opinion, we’ll only stay lucky for so long; her right leg is bruised, and we’re not sure how much it hurts her. She may have woken up crying this morning, but she doesn’t…

Home once again
We are home from the ER. It was not the longest night we’ve spent there, but it was long just the same. After being there for five hours, we finally got the x-ray results; they came back negative. Namine has not sustained any breaks; the diagnosis is that she is just sore from the fall.…

In the hospital again
I haven’t really had a chance before now to post on how Namine’s doing, and for that I apologize. They just kicked me out of her room so they could do a chest x-ray, though, so I guess here’s my chance. They woke her up, and she’s pissed.
