At my family picnic, Namine got to play in a wheelchair-accessible sandbox.
This weekend we attended a new Children’s Hospital picnic for the first time!
I know it’s been a while since the Herma Heart Center Picnic, but I wanted to share these pictures.
We had two picnics to attend today: one for the Herma Heart Center, and the other for the Variety Club.
Over the weekend we attended the annual Special Needs picnic, put on by Children’s Hospital.
The most important part about our family picnic is inclusion.
Namine does love her face paint.
I always confuse the location of the picnics for the Children’s Hospital’s Special Needs Program and the Herma Heart Center. We missed the Herma Heart picnic, but fortunately we made time for this one. Namine was glad to see so many friends.
Today we attended Namine’s end of the year school picnic in Marshfield. It wasn’t quite as far away as when we visited for orientation and supplies pickup, but it’s still four hours away. To make the drive easier, we stayed with my aunt last night. As a result, the drive up this morning was only an hour and a half.
