We received an invitation from Variety, the children’s charity of Wisconsin. We’ve attended quite a few of Variety’s own events, from picnics and movie outings, including speaking at a fundraiser. (It was at that fundraiser that we met Greg Marcus.) Because of that involvement, they wanted to include us in their invite list to Marcus’ annual picnic.
The picnic was held at the Milwaukee Zoo, which of course we love. We don’t get the chance to visit as much as we used to, and definitely not as much as we’d like. Consequently, we jumped at the chance. Food was provided, and there were face painters there for whomever wanted one. (Namine wanted one. They chose to be transformed into a cat.)
