Memorial Day weekend sickies
Both Jessica and Namine were sick over Memorial Day weekend, but we still were able to enjoy ourselves.

Jessica’s bowling birthday
Namine was in her wheelchair, ready to go. “Be ready to leave in a half hour,” I told Jessica.

Happy birthday Jessica!
Yesterday was perhaps not the birthday that Jessica wanted – with Namine’s cardiology appointment revealing tachycardia – but it is indicative of the life we have with each other.

Making our own Christmas stockings
Today was a craft day. We made our own Christmas stockings!

Handmade purses
Jessica and her sister Melissa made purses from old jeans for the little girls in our lives: Namine and her cousins Olivia and Eva.

At the Auntie Anne’s Pretzel kiosk
“I want a strawfanade.” “What?” “I mean a strawbanade.” “I’ll say it again, what?” “I meant to say strawberry lemonade, it came out wrong.”

A stay at home kind of day
Namine’s staying home from therapy today due to her not feeling well. I only wish I could have, too. Both Jessica and I are feeling pretty much what Namine is feeling – stuffy, boogery, just all-around congested. We went to Urgent Care last night to see if we – Jessica and I – needed to…

Negative results are positively good
Today was Jessica’s follow-up oncology appointment. We got the results of her bone marrow biopsy, which, for the most part, are favorable.

Hospital time
On Friday Jessica had a bone marrow biopsy. Let me back up a bit. Her platelets have been low for some time – for several years, if the doctor is correct. This had never come to our attention; so Jessica had to have a blood test done. Its results were inconclusive, thus the biopsy.
