It’s probably not typical for most children to look forward to a doctor’s appointment, but then again, Namine is not like most children. There is a special place in her heart for Dr. Black, who was instrumental in helping to save her foot during a procedure that went catastrophically wrong. She is (and we are) sad to see him go.
Namine’s appointment was routine and went well. As he has done before, Dr. Black measured the curvature of her spine. Over the past several years, we’ve been blessed that Namine’s scoliosis has not gotten worse. Dr. Black hasn’t expected it to, exactly, but he’s warned us that it might. Fortunately, that has not happened.
