Namine fell and hurt her head and back this evening. We’re finally back home from the hospital, and she’s only suffered a minor concussion.
With all the craziness lately, I never wrote about Namine’s most recent trip to the dentist last month. Some pretty important points were discussed.
Jessica and Namine were on their way to the eye clinic this morning when Namine threw up.
When we told Namine she had an appointment with Dr. Black, we were met with a look of confusion.
There are few things as disheartening as accidentally injuring your child.
Namine had an orthopedic appointment today. She was nervous, as she is wont to be when it comes to doctors, but afterward she said it was silly to be so.
When I say “fun,” I actually mean “not fun.” We’ve spent the last couple days in and out of the pediatrician’s and the ER, trying to figure out why Namine is experiencing abdominal pain. Again.
Namine continues her current prescription to treat this mysterious abdominal pain. This can’t go on indefinitely, however; so Jessica took her in to see the urologist for more tests and, possibly, an answer as to why this has happened at all. It did not go well, and we know just as much now as we did before — which is to say nothing at all.
We took Namine to the pediatrician. Yes, again. She still has a nasty-sounding cough — even after being on steroids to help with inflammation, antibiotic, increased inhalers, and a nebulizer — and the persistent bugger shows no sign of letting up.
Namine did not have a good day at therapy yesterday. Some days are better than others – that’s true of anyone – but lately she’s been complaining of more pain than usual. Considering that she’d rather suffer in silence than admit pain, that’s saying something.
