A selfless love
Namine’s Christmas was something close to magical. We don’t have a lot of money, so her gifts would have been in shorter supply, were it not for the generosity of our friends and family. For that, we are truly grateful.

That Christmas spirit
It’s an accidental bokeh image! I think it looks nice. Credit to my lovely wife. Namine is very much looking forward to Christmas, and we had a lot of fun setting up the tree. We’re trying to temper the excitement about presents and Santa with the real meaning, that of Jesus’ birth.

A stay at home kind of day
Namine’s staying home from therapy today due to her not feeling well. I only wish I could have, too. Both Jessica and I are feeling pretty much what Namine is feeling – stuffy, boogery, just all-around congested. We went to Urgent Care last night to see if we – Jessica and I – needed to…

Field trip
Namine went on a field trip with her class yesterday to a pumpkin farm. My dad had the pleasure of going with her, but apparently he’s too busy to write about it. Fine, I’ll just post the pictures he took.
-

Past the fear
I have a lot to catch up on, what with a busy, full weekend to catch up on. That being said, I’m going to split this stuff up into a few posts. I’m sure no one wants to read a novel. ;)

Sick time
Namine and I now apparently have what Jessica had last week. I thought that I had gotten the worst of it, but Namine woke up with a crouping cough this morning. Despite her being sick, though, she nearly always keeps it together and stays cheerful.
-

Improvement
Last week Namine had another (yes, another) ENT clinic appointment. Since Jessica was busy being The Amazing Human Taxi for her mom, it fell to me to take the munchkin to the hospital. Of course, I’d gladly do so anyway.

Pending ear surgery?
Namine needing surgery on her ear is not a sure thing, not yet at least. After yet another ENT visit today, though, I think they’re as tired as we are. But I think no one is quite as tired of this as Namine. She threw up when she saw the doctor.
-

The stresses of doctors
Do you believe in coincidence? I tend not to. Namine threw up again today in the same situation as last time, which brings me to the conclusion that it’s not something she ate – last time I thought it was eggs – but rather the circumstance: the doctor’s office.
-

Tossing cookies
I’m not talking about juggling confectionary treats, nosirree. We suspect that Namine has caught a bug of some kind, possibly flu. It is her bad luck – and ours – that she needed to throw up when we had only one spare set of clothes, and on a day of multiple clinic appointments.
-

Pushing back the infection
Yesterday Namine had another ENT appointment, once again to suck out her ear. But this time it wasn’t just the right ear – both had to be taken care of, but it’s not all bad. The process sucks, but it’s for the best.

Ear infection: now with blood
This ear infection just won’t quit. And now Namine’s ear is bleeding. Wonderful.
