Trick or treating
Holy late post, Batman! I meant to post about Halloween a while ago, but we’ve been kept busy with sickness and doctor appointments. So here, finally, I’ve finished writing about when we went trick or treating. (All things considered, I’m glad I was able to get the post out within a month of it happening.)

A trip to the pumpkin farm
Yesterday we took Namine to a pumpkin farm. It was a vertitable parade – me, Jessica, Namine, my sister, my mom and dad, one of Jessica’s sisters, and her mom. We had a lot of fun. Namine had a blast, especially on the hay ride.

Father’s Day picnic
For Father’s Day, Jessica, Namine, and I went over to my mom’s house.

Polish Fest tomorrow
Tomorrow Jessica and I are going to be helping out our friend and neighbor Leah with the kids’ area at Polish Fest, down at the Summerfest grounds. We’ll be helping to set up the games and prizes, and assisting with running the games, crafts, and activities. This will be our second year helping out, and…

On growth and caudal regression
Namine seems to be doing well. She’s happy, active, and she’s keeping up with her usual appetite.

Appointment day
Namine had an appointment today, a checkup visit with Dr. Denny, her plastic surgeon. (Why are they called plastic surgeons? They operate on people.) Just to make sure her jaw is doing okay, and all that lovely stuff. And tomorrow’s the big day! We check in at the hospital tomorrow at 10.

Music class

Tribute to Namine tonight
Tonight my friend and coworker Derek is performing with his band at the House of Guinness in Waukesha, in tribute to Namine.

Fatten her up already!
Namine has had weight issues all her life. Right now she’s stuck at 17-18 pounds, and it doesn’t look like she’s going to put on more weight any time soon. It doesn’t make sense, because she’s obviously growing, getting longer, but she’s not putting on weight like she ought to. Naturally, her doctors scold us…
