When Namine was a baby, my aunt built her a ramp so she could climb up on the couch with us. This was really back in the day, because this was also when Namine’s physical therapist came to our house to help her.
Namine’s therapist wanted her to scoot up the ramp backwards. It was the best way, she figured, that Namine could push herself up. She hadn’t yet built up much arm strength. Namine, of course, had other plans.
It still cracks me up that Namine knew what she was supposed to do (rather, the way her therapist told her to do), and completely ignored it. She knew how she wanted to get up the slide, and she followed it through on her own terms.
