Namine
Namine Olivia Eiche was born on July 15, 2008 with a double-inlet left ventricle heart defect; Pierre Robin sequence, a condition that resulted in a regressed jaw and a partial (U-shaped) cleft palate; caudal regression syndrome (also known as sacral agenesis), which damages the growth of the tailbone and legs, also giving her clubfoot; and scoliosis.

News from the eye clinic
Namine had an appointment at the eye clinic. We came away with some excellent news.

Weekend at Grandma & Grandpa’s!
The Friday after Thanksgiving Namine got to have dinner with us and spend the night. That was the start of a whole weekend here at grandma & grandpa’s! The added bonus was Auntie Lydia was home from grad school those days so Namine got lots of play time & Aunt Lydia cuddles.

Getting ready for Christmas
It was a good day to put up our Christmas decorations.

A trip to the ER
Jessica and Namine were on their way to the eye clinic this morning when Namine threw up.

Orthopedic visit
When we told Namine she had an appointment with Dr. Black, we were met with a look of confusion.

Headache followup
I’ve written before on how Namine gets headaches. We had scheduled an MRI for her a while back, and she finally had it done.

Dental appointment
Namine had an appointment in the dental clinic. We have some hard decisions ahead of us.

Swan Princess
One of Namine’s aunts gave her a Swan Lake doll. She loves it!

The last day
Alas, every vacation must end. And to that end, today is our last day in Florida.

Seeing Winter
Our vacation is soon drawing to a close, but we’re not yet rejoining our northern kin in their snowy winter. No, today we saw Winter the dolphin, star of the movie Dolphin Tale, at the Clearwater Aquarium.
