But as practice has gone on, Namine has shown a real love and enthusiasm for tennis. Not only that, but she’s also shown some improvement every week.
The challenge for Namine isn’t hitting the ball; that she’s never had an issue with, and being ambidextrous has benefited her well in that regard. No, her greatest challenge has been movement. Since she has to wheel and hit the ball, she’s had to figure out how to grip her wheels and hold the racket at the same time.
As practice has gone on, she’s been told that she needs to do it, but she hadn’t really shown any motivation to do so — until this past week, however. Instead of simply waiting to see if the ball would come to her, she started actively chasing it.
