Tap class, now with shoes

Namine was more than a little excited for tonight’s class, and for one reason: she has new tap shoes.

Up until recently, Namine has danced in her walker in her ballet and jazz classes. For the tap class, which sat in the middle of the three classes, Namine stayed in her wheelchair or on the floor. But when Namine asked if she could actually participate in tap class, how could we say no?

Earlier this week, Namine’s tap shoes arrived. It would be more accurate to say that several pairs of shoes arrived, which she tried on. Having found a pair that fit nicely, they are pretty much all Namine has been talking about. Certainly the first thing she said as soon as she entered the classroom was, “I have new tap shoes!”
