Dancing her heart out

Near the end of dance this week, the teacher introduced the class to a new game called “Pass the Mike.”

In this game, whoever held the microphone — or in this case, a pen — got to sing and dance by themselves for a little while, while the rest of the class watched.

When the student who’d gone last handed her the pen, Namine told the teacher that she couldn’t stand up and hold onto something at the same time. So she handed the teacher the pen and stood up.

I had no idea what Namine was trying to do. I could tell she was trying to undo her seat, and she was having some difficulty with it, but I didn’t know why she was trying to remove it in the first place. When it became clear what she was doing, I was amazed.
