Happy birthday Jessica!
Yesterday was perhaps not the birthday that Jessica wanted – with Namine’s cardiology appointment revealing tachycardia – but it is indicative of the life we have with each other.

Loose tooth no more
Namine came scooting into my bedroom this morning. “Daddy Daddy Daddy! My loose tooth fell out here it is my loose tooth came out you have to come see!” She was just a little excited.

Therapy and tachycardia
I’ve seen all the videos Jessica has taken of Namine at physical therapy, of course. But I’ve only rarely attended Namine’s therapy sessions, because they are during the week when I’m at work.

I never told Namine about her cape, I swear. I wanted it to be a surprise. But yesterday, Namine was playing in her room with her superhero Little People. She has quite a few, but her favorite is Batman, of course. She came scooting out into the living room. I’m Super Namine! No, I can’t…

Namine’s new haircut
So Namine got a haircut yesterday. It’s much more manageable now, and more importantly, she loves it.

Namine’s first loose tooth
Tonight, while Namine was brushing her teeth, I noticed that she didn’t turn the electric toothbrush on. Not only that, but she was wincing. After she was done, I took the toothbrush to do a once-over like I always do after she’s done. She told me, “Don’t brush my teeth, Daddy! My teeth hurt!”

When we took Namine to pick out a pair of glasses, we assumed we wouldn’t be getting anything that day. We were right.
