I’m going to try to keep this short, because I’m typing this from my phone. Anyway, Namine’s foot surgery is done, and seems to have gone well. I don’t actually know what all was done, because I haven’t had the chance to speak with any ortho docs. Both of Namine’s feet (especially the left) appear to be a little straighter, though.
Both casts were replaced. After being used to her scribbled-on ones, seeing that clean pink is kind of strange. Namine herself is not nearly as agitated from the pain this time around, partly, I think, because we now know the schedule of pain medication we need to adhere to.
Namine’s heart rate is up, of course, because of the pain. This time, though, she hasn’t needed any supplemental oxygen. Judging by her saturation rates, she won’t need blood this time around, either.
We hope to go home tomorrow, but we’ll see what the day brings. We still need to speak with ortho and ENT anyway. Some things about her stoma scar concern me, and I don’t know if they’re normal healing type things or things I should actually be concerned about. Best to err on the side of caution, I say.
