Afternoon at the zoo
Jessica, Namine, and I took a chance with the weather yesterday afternoon.

Riding her bike
We broke out Namine’s bike today to see if she could use a little more easily. I think it went well.

Going to the park
For several years now, Jessica and I have volunteered at Polish Fest. We’re not polish ourselves, but it’s a fun time and we get some free food in exchange.

At the zoo
We had a free day today (technically yesterday, since it’s now after midnight), so our plan was to clean the apartment. But then we thought, you know, why clean when we could go to the zoo? That sounds like a much better way to spend a Saturday.

Climbing into the car
Today in therapy, Lesley worked with Namine on getting into the car by herself.

Fun among chaos
Today Namine had a playdate with her friend Norah and I had adult conversation her mom Amanda. We have been trying to go to the zoo for quite sometime, but the weather and the schedules just did not line up until day.

Daddy-daughter time
Jessica went out this evening for a girls’ night out, so Namine and I took advantage of the nice weather and went to the park.

Standing up for herself
At her end of the year school picnic, Namine made some new friends — but then, that’s never been a problem for her. And I was proud to witness her sticking up for herself.

Today we attended Namine’s end of the year school picnic in Marshfield. It wasn’t quite as far away as when we visited for orientation and supplies pickup, but it’s still four hours away. To make the drive easier, we stayed with my aunt last night. As a result, the drive up this morning was only…
