Allergy test today
Today Namine had an allergy test at the hospital, but as usual, we got a little more excitement than we bargained for. She threw up at the clinic, so I had to call my mom to bring some spare clothes. (Of course I was stuck at work, otherwise I would have done it myself.)

The cold that won’t quit
Or whatever it is that we got sick from, anyway.

Still sick
This morning Namine woke up once again with the croup, unfortunately. The adrenaline helped yesterday, to be sure, but it’s back today. It’s actually worse today than it was yesterday.

Congestion snot fun
You’ll have to excuse the bad pun, it’s been kind of a long day for me. I had originally intended to talk about Namine’s school orientation today, but her sudden fever, congestion, and croup had other plans.

Echo results
On Friday Namine had her echocardiogram. Once again, like with Monday’s ultrasound, Namine was afraid of the tech and having the echo done. But when she realized that this was painless, she was fine. She lay perfectly still for the entire thing, much to the tech’s surprise.

Ultrasound
Namine had an appointment on Monday to have an ultrasound taken of her legs. After all is said and done, it went well – but we won’t know the results until a doctor tells us. But Namine was very still, and let the tech do her job.

Appointments lately
Namine had an appointment at the ENT clinic the other day. The news was not surprising, and not very alarming, either. Namine still has an ear infection in her left ear, but thankfully it is only still in her left ear. We’ve already got ear drops, though, so we’ll be giving those to her until…

Three-year checkup
Namine had her three-year checkup yesterday. Namine’s third birthday was just on the 15th of last month, so it was time to have her looked at. And the verdict is good: she weighs over 23 pounds, now – and just think, there was a time when we wondered if she’d ever reach 20! Her overall…

A long day of clinics
As I’ve mentioned before, long clinic-filled days are nothing new to us. Nothing new, no, but that shouldn’t suggest that we enjoy them.

Clinic tomorrow
As if last week was not bad enough with all its clinic visits, we have one more this week, midst all of Namine’s resumed therapy sessions. ENT clinic today
What started as a routine clinic appointment ended, unfortunately, in setting yet another surgery appointment. But as glib and sarcastic as we sometimes get about surgery, we do recognize it as a necessary thing. And it is necessary once again. Next month, Namine has to have her right ear tube removed.

Happy Mother’s Day
This post could easily be called “a look at our nearly three years of parenthood.” I know some moms who would not share this day with their husbands for their life, but thankfully Jessica is not like that. We both feel that we would not be as good separate. We would not be complete.
