Bowling and pizza

We attended Namine’s school bowling and pizza party!

Namine attends a virtual school, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t in-person activities from time to time. Unfortunately, there aren’t as many close to us as we’d like, but this one wasn’t too far for a drive.

None of us will win any awards for bowling, but that never mattered. We all love to bowl, and that’s all that matters. The bowling alley provided a ramp for Namine to use to bowl with, but they never used it.

There was a ramp they did use, however, and that was the one to get down to the bowling floor and back up again. It was a carpeted ramp that was laid over the steps, which as a result was extremely steep. I backed Namine down the ramp, and pushed them back up again when we were finished with the game.

After we were finished bowling, we sat down for some pizza. There was a small smattering of arcade games, which included a crane game and an arcade cabinet with an assortment of games that were old when I was young.

The crane game exclusively contained rubber ducks, which appealed greatly to Namine. They and Jessica both played and won a duck each.

Meanwhile, I played a single quarter’s game — it surprised me that it only required a quarter — of Donkey Kong. To my shame, I didn’t even make it past the first level. I am out of practice!
