Apple picking

We picked the coldest day to go apple picking!

We love apple picking. It’s comforting and relaxing, and we can make apple pies. Or crisps. Or gallets. So when we set a day for ourselves to go to an orchard, we thought the weather was going to be nice. We were correct, sort of, but it was much colder than it had been all week. As a result, we had to wear long sleeves and Namine wore gloves. In retrospect, it’s kind of funny that for a Fall activity we had to dress for a Fall activity.

Navigating on grass has always been difficult for Namine, for obvious reasons. But now with their SmartDrive, it’s a little easier. They can activate it and let it power them through the grass, requiring only steering and turning it off. Gravel, however, is another matter. In navigating the gravel path leading to the orchards, I had to push Namine’s chair.
