Since Namine is spending the weekend with my parents, Jessica and I went axe throwing with a couple friends. We went to a recreation center called Flannel Jax’s, which bills itself as a “lumberjack sports” center. Besides axe throwing, I still have no idea what that entails.
I had never been axe throwing before. Jessica had once, at a women’s retreat. I was excited to try it, and she to do it again. We went with a couple friends, which made for some good competition. We first competed as couples, then again as men versus women.
By the time our hour (roughly, since they let us go over our time) was up, our arms were tired and we were all kind of sweaty. It’s hard work! Our aim was more or less getting better, but more importantly, we had a lot of fun. We would all love to do it again!
