We have had a sport wheelchair on loan from WASA, the adaptive sports organization through whom Namine played basketball. She hasn’t used it in some time, since Marquette built her a custom chair. We have been meaning to return it, but that didn’t happen thanks to quarantine. Getting it returned prior to us moving into our new house didn’t happen either, so we just brought it with us.
As it happens, the WASA basketball team — the Junior Bucks — was playing in the Big Cheese tournament in the very city to which we moved. This was the perfect opportunity to return the sport chair, and Namine was excited to see her team play. She made a poster for the occasion, so she could cheer on her former teammates.
