Feeling better
I’m happy to say that Namine is feeling much better today than she did yesterday.

Sick little girl
Things never go the way we think they might. We’ll be fine, everything’s going great, and then BAM — something else comes along.

Back to school
Today is the second full day that Namine is completely off her pain medication, with no trace of pain — abdominal or otherwise.* As her health has improved, we’ve been able to resume her schooling. She’s very excited to be learning again.

Frequent flyer miles
We haven’t been to the ER this many times in so few weeks in a long, long time. Hopefully, this weekend has seen the end of it.

Where did our weekend go?
I’ll tell you where — the ER, that’s where. We need a weekend to give us a rest from this weekend.

What a day
It has been an interesting couple of days. I am happy to say, though, that Namine does not have appendicitis and we are home safe and sound. Jessica and Namine are both fast asleep now.

Dermatology appointment
It’s always a bit frustrating for us when we have to deal with doctors who feel they know Namine better than we do. Imagine how maddening it is, then, when we meet a doctor for the first time and she is convinced that we are doing everything wrong.

To the doctor, again
We took Namine to the pediatrician. Yes, again.

Out for a Monday drive
On my lunch break today I drove out to the medical supply store to pick up a nebulizer kit for Namine. This is the sad story of why I came back empty-handed, and more!

Deep breaths
Namine had a pulmonology appointment today. Getting the appointment set was stressful enough, to say nothing of the fact that we needed to make sure Namine’s lungs were okay. There’s no reason for alarm, though; Namine is fine, and the doctor was content with increasing her inhaler dose and prescribing an anti-inflammatory. Getting to this…

Sick this morning
We had a busy day weekend. We saw Frozen (this being Namine’s third time and my first) and we cleaned the apartment. Well, most of it. This morning, I don’t know if Namine is paying for being out in the cold, but she woke up with a croupy cough.

Snuggling with my sick kiddo. This virus is nasty.
