The parking area was quite a long ways away from the actual park. We had to take a bus ride, and then after being dropped off we still had to travel on foot to the ark. There was more to do than just the ark — as if that wasn’t enough — like a petting zoo; but even touring the ark alone took us over four hours.
There were three levels in the ark, each with a different focus. The first two levels showcased different animals, from dinosaurs and other extinct animals to the ancestors of animals that exist today.
On the third level, there was a door representing the only one on the Biblical ark, which God locked in order to keep Noah and his family safe.
In addition to the life-size animal dioramas, there were also dioramas for living quarters, work stations, and other situations supposed to exist while Noah and his family lived on board the ark.
On our way back to the hotel, we drove through a crazy thunderstorm. Once the storm was over, we saw a full double rainbow.
“I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.”
Genesis 9:13
