It was another hot day, so like last time, Namine played tennis in her sun hat. That did little against the heat, requiring multiple water breaks. She continued to work on her movement, pushing herself into position to hit the ball when it didn’t come directly to her.
There are always two coaches at tennis: Coach Jackie and her son Brian. Namine’s basketball coach Jordan also comes when he can, and there are always plenty of helpers: parents, siblings, and volunteers. Namine’s partner in practice, as well as for playing doubles near the end of the clinic session, was someone new. She (like me) didn’t have much experience playing tennis. That didn’t matter to Namine. She was happy for the companionship, and is always willing to meet someone new.
