Haircut and donation

It’s been a long time coming, but Namine got a haircut today.

Namine has not gotten her hair cut in a long time. The last time she did, she donated it to Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths program. And as soon as Namine got her hair cut, she decided that she wanted to do it again.

To that end, Namine has waited a year and a half to get her hair cut. In that time, her hair has grown over ten inches. (Another program that provides wigs free of charge is Wigs for Kids, but they require over fourteen inches and Namine wanted to be done with her long hair.)

I feel the need to make it clear once more that we did not choose to donate to Locks of Love. Unlike other programs, Locks of Love do not provide wigs free of charge. Namine was adamant — as she was last time — that her hair be given to someone who needed it, not sold.
