Attending the RVA (Rural Virtual Academy) is mostly comprised of participating in video meetings on our school-issued laptop, but they do have get-togethers from time to time. At the end of the month, they had a Valentine’s Day party.
Namine had spent some time during the week leading up to the party making valentines for her classmates. She loves making crafts, as well as giving gifts, so she was quite excited.
Sometimes parties aren’t as fun for Namine, since she has limited mobility. Fortunately that wasn’t the case here, as this party took place in a gym, allowing her to cruise around in her wheelchair to her heart’s content. She met some of the friends she’s met through online meetings and previous field trips, and made some new friends, too.
