Namine’s new walker
Namine tried out her new walker!

Hers alone
Namine has had a walker since March. Ever since her therapist switched her to a rear-facing walker, her walking has improved by leaps and bounds.

Therapy and tachycardia
I’ve seen all the videos Jessica has taken of Namine at physical therapy, of course. But I’ve only rarely attended Namine’s therapy sessions, because they are during the week when I’m at work.

Namine walking at therapy
Since getting the okay from her cardiologist to resume physical therapy in her walker, Namine has continued to improve. She is up to walking for ten minutes in her walker, at two minute intervals with thirty-second breaks in between.

Seating clinic
Namine has had a lot of clinic appointments lately, the latest being at the seating clinic. The appointment at the seating clinic, where Namine goes for measurements and fittings for the wheelchair and walker, went well.

Because I can never get enough of seeing Namine do what they said she’d never be able to.

We want the same thing
Namine is so easygoing most of the time, it’s easy to forget how stubborn and iron-willed she can be. Monday morning, she spent the first ten minutes of physical therapy stonewalling the therapist.

IEP, again
Jessica and I had the IEP meeting – reevaluation? I’m not sure exactly – this morning. So we had a choice: either bring Namine with us at 7:45 this morning, or get someone to watch her. My mom was kind enough to come over and stay with her. The meeting didn’t take too long, fortunately,…
