The winter months usually tend to be busier for us regarding doctor appointments. While that continues to be true, we try to balance it with fun things too. To that end, we joined Variety Charity at their annual holiday party, which involves crafts and a movie.
In years past, they have typically had Santa and Mrs. Claus for taking pictures, but this year they changed it up by having Buddy the Elf instead. He and Namine discussed the virtues of spaghetti with syrup, and of course the four food groups.

Before the movie started — they were showing the Boss Baby sequel — Namine wheeled up to a table to work on this year’s craft: a gingerbread house.
These gingerbread houses were not actually made of gingerbread, but rather styrofoam. Many of the pieces were sticky on one side, to make assembly easier.

After the movie, each child got to pick a toy and a book from a pretty large selection. We had a wonderful time at this year’s holiday party, and we can’t wait to see our friends at Variety again!
