We spent a day in Kenosha over the weekend. Near the end of it, we decided to visit one of its libraries. Unfortunately, there was no accessible entrance — only stairs. So I picked Namine up in her wheelchair and carried her up the stairs.
This isn’t the first time, nor do I think it will be the last, that I’ve carried Namine in her wheelchair up stairs. I’m sure there will come a time when I can no longer do so, but it hasn’t come yet.
After we went inside, we found that the kids’ area of the library was down a spiral staircase. There was no elevator — nor would there ever be — because the library was a historic site. So we took a walk around the ground floor of the library, and then we left.
