Namine has been taken back for her heart catheterization. It’s evident that she is ever more grown-up; she was obviously sad when we parted ways – she to the cath lab OR, and we to the waiting room – but she did not cry. She knows what today holds in store for her, and submits to it willingly.
We hope that Namine will not be kept overnight, but that depends on today’s procedure. The purpose is primarily discovery: to determine the state of Namine’s heart, arteries, veins; whether or not she has AVMs and collaterals that will increase her need for surgery; and whether or not they need to close any collaterals today.
