A cold day deserves a hot dinner. To that end, we had potato soup with bacon bits and hot toasty bread. For dessert, Namine and I made applesauce cake with cream cheese frosting.
Before we added eggs to the mix, we let Namine lick the spatula. I mean, come on. It’s applesauce cake. You can see how protective she is of that spatula.
Namine is getting better at cracking eggs. She’s still a little hesitant initially, but after a few taps, she gives it a good whack. The trick is getting the egg in the bowl without the shell.
