Yesterday, as I was about to leave for work, I heard a small voice from one whom I had thought was asleep. “Daddy, don’t forget about me!”
I finished putting my jacket on and went into her room. “I could never forget about you, sweetie.” I hugged her and gave her a goodbye kiss. “I thought you were asleep. I just didn’t want to bother you.”
She pulled me close and hugged me tighter. “Your kisses never bother me, Daddy!”
