My daughter, the dinosaur

Today Jessica, Namine, my mom, my dad, and I went to Discover the Dinosaurs, an exhibit at the State Fair Expo Center.

It was pricey, but well worth the cost of admission. Like myself, Namine loves dinosaurs. Whenever the animatronic dinosaurs come back to the Milwaukee Zoo, Namine insists on seeing them, so this was an opportunity we couldn’t miss.

We – that is, I, Jessica, and Namine – arrived before my parents. Namine was a touch impatient as we waited. “Come on, guys, let’s go!”

We had a lot of fun. It was quite loud in the exhibit. The loudness itself didn’t seem to bother Namine, but the cacophony of dinosaur roars echoing through the expo center scared her a bit. After a few minutes, though, she was fine.

After we finished walking through the exhibit, there were quite a few things for children to do. Unfortunately, most of it was out of the question for Namine: bounce houses, rides, that kind of thing. But there was something she could do (and we knew she loves) – face painting. I thought for sure she would choose to be a butterfly (as she has frequently chosen to be at similar events), but she chose to be a triceratops.
