My mother-in-law just got out of the hospital last night. The doctors couldn’t find anything wrong with her heart, so there was really no choice but to discharge her. So Jessica and I picked her up yesterday evening, and on the way home, about 35 minutes after we’d left the hospital, my mom called me to tell me that an ambulance was taking my grandpa to that same hospital. Apparently, he’d had an ear infection, and it got so bad that it affected his balance, and he couldn’t walk.

So he’s admitted into the hospital now, but they really don’t know much more than they did last night. They think his left eardrum might have blown due to the pressure of the infection (there was a lot of blood and drainage); they did a CT scan to see if he had a stroke, but that came back negative. Thank God for that, at least.

Where we are right now is just waiting for news. I’ll post more when we know more about what’s happening. In the meantime, keep my grandpa in all your prayers.
