School picnic

We went to the end of the year picnic for Namine’s school.

Namine attends a virtual school, but we were thankfully able to attend their picnic at the end of the year in person. She was happy to see many of her teachers — and classmates — in person. She also met many students she’d never met before.

They had a few bounce houses set up for the students. Namine didn’t go in any of them, but she did wheel around outside to say hi to students and teachers.

There was also a balloon artist there, making balloon animals and other things for students. (An aside: we referred to her as the “balloon person,” but in retrospect I think “artist” is a little better.) Balloon swords seemed to be popular, but Namine opted for a metallic-gold puppy.
