Even though the swimming pool was indoors — two out of the three are, anyway — we decided not to go swimming. We’ll give Namine a day or two, and there are plenty of other things to do in the meantime.
Like doing our hair! Well, doing Namine’s hair. Namine and I were home (well, imagine me doing “home” in finger quotes because it’s a condo in Tennessee) alone while Jessica and my aunt were out getting some food, and Namine asked me to put her hair up.
I, to my shame, have not yet learned to braid hair. Correction: had not learned. I looked up a tutorial which I skimmed and gave it the ol’ college try.
After bumbling my way through a braid, I taught Namine to play a card game that has long been a favorite of Jessica’s and mine: Phase 10. I shuffled for each hand, since Namine is still learning to do that (and, to be perfectly honest, is not among the best of my skills, either), but we took turns dealing.
After lunch, Jessica and I went for a walk. We ended up walking down to a fountain, where we took a bunch of selfies.
When we got back, the four of us decided to go for a drive. We started out looking at the mountains, and ending up checking out all the crazy touristy things on the way back.
Namine was particularly excited about the “Live Alligators.”
