The Variety Club had an accessible trick or treating event at Stein’s. Namine participated, and then she handed out candy to other trick-or-treaters as well. She originally wanted to go as something scary, like a zombie. We talked her into something a little calmer, though: she went as a unicorn.
Not knowing if there would be face painting, I brought my face paint kit. I’m not great, but I can get the job done. As it turned out, they had a professional there, so I wasn’t needed.
There were a whole slew of great costumes, not the least of which were a group of ladies dressed as Dorothy and company from The Wizard of Oz. Namine’s favorite was a man dressed as Carl from Up.
