Namine’s first cliffhanger

As a voracious reader, it was only a matter of time before Namine encountered a cliffhanger.

I’m a big fan of comic books. I read DC and Marvel, mostly, picking up the compilation paperbacks (and sometimes hardcover) when I can, as opposed to subscribing to the monthlies.

But that’s all by-the-way. Because I read comic books, Namine has developed a love for them, too. I let her read some of my comics, but pending my discretion because some of them are not for kids. In the past few months, though, Namine has started to amass her own collection, mostly My Little Pony and a couple from a Wizard of Oz miniseries.

But I digress. Anyway, one afternoon, Namine was reading one of her My Little Pony comics. She got to the last page, and exclaimed, “WHAAAT?!?”

Jessica asked her what was wrong.

Namine was quite upset. “They can’t end it like that!”

“End it like what?”

Namine said, “I don’t know what’s going to happen next! I have to wait until I get the next comic!”

Welcome to the world of episodic literature, kid.
