Misheard lyrics Paul · June 24, 2014 This morning, after I got Namine her medicine, she asked for some water. “No problem,” I said, getting a glass from the cupboard. “Could you please put some ice in it?” “Sure.” I opened the freezer, and a song popped into my head (like always). I started singing, “She’s as cold as ice…” Namine said, “Cheese isn’t as cold as ice, Daddy.” Related 3 Comments LRoseEiche June 24, 2014 at 11:42 am · Reply RT @wavetree: I’m not the only one who mishears lyrics. http://t.co/PtCLtokVrM @LRoseEiche Leslie O'Donnell June 24, 2014 at 11:43 am · Reply There’s a group called the Horselips that did an album called “The Tain” (about that selfsamed piece of lit-lore), and in one of the songs on that album, there’s a part of a line that goes, “We’ve got the power and the glory — we’re gonna take it from here!” When younger, Jamie misheard that line and went around singing, “We’ve got the parrot and the glow-me….we’re gonna tape it to here!” All this time, we’ve been imagining what a glow-me might be. ;-) Lydia Rose Eiche June 24, 2014 at 11:43 am · Reply This is the best Leave a Reply to Leslie O'Donnell Cancel reply This site uses Akismet to reduce spam.
