Namine’s pleural drainage tubes had too much output last night, so they’re not removing them this morning. On the other hand, at least she can drink again.

Even though she’s not getting any tubes removed, they had the pacing wires disconnected. They haven’t needed to be used since Namine came to the ICU, so that’s one less thing… almost. The wires will come out when the drainage tubes do.

After rounds this morning, the doctors gave the okay to give Namine solid food again. So I called down to the cafeteria and ordered a chicken noodle soup and some diced peaches, which she asked for. Unfortunately, even though the doctors gave their verbal approval, no one actually changed Namine’s diet orders. So now we’re waiting for that to happen before we can order her food.
