Christmas Eve eve

Since we have a busy couple of days ahead of us, we let Namine open some presents this evening.

Before we ate dinner, we told Namine she could open two small presents. We had gotten several Star Wars and My Little Pony miniatures, so I grabbed a couple from under the tree. Both were mystery toys, in a way. You’d buy a handful and hope that one of them contained the one you were looking for. (Brings me back to my Pog days.)

Well, you can never have too many My Little Pony toys. Whether she already had it or not (Twilight Sparkle wearing an umbrella hat, and she didn’t), Namine would have been happy with it either way. As for the Star Wars Micro Machine, it was her first — a Tie Fighter. Namine quickly discovered that Twilight’s hat came off, so she put the fighter onto her head in its place.

After dinner, Namine opened two more presents — this time, Jessica and I picked them out specifically for the evening we’d planned. The first was brand new pajamas, about which Namine was thrilled.

The second present, and last for the evening, was a collection of Christmas animations: Frosty The Snowman, Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer, and more. So Namine picked one for tonight — she chose Rudolph — and we made some popcorn to eat while we watched her new movie.
